Pulmo B Capsules delas with Pulmonary system i.e. Respiratory system covering from nose, throat to lungs.It acts as expectorant & broncodilator. It is a very good medicine for Soar throat, cough, bronchitis, asthama, eosinophilia etc. It is antitussive& hence helpful in cold & cough.
Composition :
Each capsule contains phytoextract of :
Adulsa – 250 mg
Yashtimadhu – 200 mg
Kantakari- 200 mg
Sunthi – 150 mg
Tulsi –150 mg
Somlata – 100 mg
Dalchini- 150 mg
Daru haldi – 150 mg
Pippali – 50 mg
Menthol - 5 mg
Indications :
Soar throat, Cough, Bronchitis, Asthma, Eosinofillia, Cox, Tuberculosis, Pnemonia, Pleurisy etc.
Advantages of Ingredients :
Adulasa: traditionally being used as expectorant and bronchodilator. Adulasa leaves contain quinazoline derivative such as vasicine, vasicinone & 6-hydroxy vasicine which is mainly attributed for the activity
Yastimadhu: It not only soothes the throat, but it also helps to treat underlying problems such as viral infections, excess mucus production and allergies that trigger coughing. The chief constituent is triterpenoid saponin known as glycyrrhizin which is attributed for the action.
Kantakari: useful in curing allergies leading to cough. It is helpful in painful chest and sore throat.
Sunthi: It alleviates throat irritation.
Tulsi: It effectively liquefies the phlegm due to its hot and sharp attributes. It gives excellent results in cough due to kapha, allergic bronchitis, asthma and eosinophilia.
Somlata: Contains alkaloids: ephedrine & pseudoephedrine which is attributed for bronchodilatory & antitussive activity
Dalchini It is used in sore throat, common cold & cough, influenza & hoarseness in voice.
Daruhaldi: The activity is attributed for the active constituent, “Berberine”. It alleviates Kafa & pitta dosha. It is known as antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic contributing in treating cough & cold condition.
Pippali: It is powerful stimulat of digestive and respiratory system. It is strongly heating and removes cold, congestion & ama (undigested toxic element) and revives weakened organic function. It is rejuvenative to lungs.
Mentol: It is soothing & cooling agent for sore throat and also alleviates headache due to cold & cough.
Doses : 1 or 2 capsules two times a day after food with water.
