Benefits of Ingredients :
- Gudmar (Gymnema sylvestry)-Contains Hypoglycaemic constituent – gymnemic acid which reduces glycosuria. Hypoglycemic effect is due to indirect stimulation of insulin secretion by pancreas.
- Jambul beej (Eugenia jambolana) - Extracts of the bark, seeds & leaves are used in the treatment of diabetes. The bark extract is reported to have an effect on glycogenolysis and glycogen storage.
- Karela (Momordica chrantia) - Contains charantin, a steroidal saponin which shows blood sugar lowering activity along with cathartic principle called momordicin.
- Methibeej (Trigonella foenum)-Contains trigonelline alkaloid which has hypoglycaemic properties.
- Vijaysar (Pterocarpus marsupium) - Known as kino and contains kitotannic acid which is glucosidal tannin. The aqueous extract is known toposses hypoglycemic action.
- Kaduneem (Azardichta indica) - Contains bitter principles like Nimbin, nimbidin, nimbinin which is attributed for antidiabetic activity by stimulation pancera releas and lowering blood sugar.
- Kalonji seeds (Nigella sativa) - Contains essential oil with thymoquinone as major component which is also present in fixed oil and much of the biological activity isdue this component. It is found to reduce plasma concentration of cholesterol, triglycerides & glucose.
- Bilva fruit (Aegel Marmelose) - Contains active principle marmelosin which could be attributed for blood sugar lowering activity.
- Kasni (Cichorium intibus) - Bitter Herb. Kasni seed extract rich in polyphenols exhibit potential hypoglycemic effect.
- Chirayta (Swertia chirata) -Bitter tonic. Stimulates digestive system and helps in normalizing blood sugar.
- Cinnamon (Cinnamonum zeyalanicum) - Apart from lowering blood sugar studies are documented that cinnamon also reduces blood pressure, cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides and improves insulin sensitivity.
Dosage : One or two capsule once or twice a day after meal.
